Mr. Lam was selected to perform at the Presidential Inaugural Luncheon for President Barack Obama as First Violinist of the Eastman String Quartet. Winner of the 2013 New York International Artists Violin Competition, he has also appeared as soloist at concert halls across America, Europe, and Asia, namely Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and The United Nations Headquarters.

Mr. Lam’s students have been prize winners in competitions and festivals domestic and abroad, some of which have gone on to perform at Carnegie Hall, Yale Club and Harvard Club, to name a few.

Mr. Lam is also the director and founder of The Quintessential, a bespoke music salon production company that defies traditional concert experiences and Apollo International Music and Arts Competition, with the mission to break down borders and bring world class educators and artists from top tier universities (Harvard, Yale, Juilliard, Curtis, Cambridge, etc.) to adjudicate the works of next generations.

More than a violinist.
